Wintertime in Gran Canaria |

Aquila Playa - February 2005
|
After a quiet "wet" winter season with good sailing condition and a lot of rain, the summer is getting closer. This winter has been on and off. Either it was really good or there was no wind at all. We have had good down-the-line wavesailing conditions in different locations around the island. Sometimes with up to over mast high waves we were using sails between 4.2m² - 5.3m². Have a look at the picture gallery and enjoy Proof team riders and friends playing in the waves.
Our favourite spots like Playa del Aguila where the Dunkerbeck windsurfing center is located, Juan Grande about 5 km north of Aguila, Mosca Point just upwind of Pozo beach and Salinas de Pozo downwind from Pozo, have all shown their best face with powerfull side shore conditions. Now we are looking for the summer with its perfect conditions! Hope to see many of you windsurfers here on Gran Canaria the next months.
Wish you all lots of fun on the water!
Saludos
